Special offer to the University Neighborhood District:
The university offers the environment of very active networks of community groups such as neighborhood associations, business and landlord associations, as well as very community oriented individuals. Both contractor and consumer can take advantage of these networks to afford high quality services at minimal costs.
Our snowplowing operation model is driven by efficiency of operation. We realize that we can offer substantial savings to our customers and deliver high quality service if we concentrate our services to a small geographic area. In addition to lower travel and downtime costs compared to traditional individual driveways scattered over a large area, the scale of our model allows us to use specialized equipment and methods further improving the efficiency of operation.
The Public-easement Sidewalk Snow removal program was identified by University Neighborhood Partnership Committee members as a universal health and safety issue to the neighborhood. The goal of the program is to provide continuous cleared sidewalks for the most critical pedestrian traffic routes with high quality service at lowest possible cost.
Landscapes ETC is honored to have been chosen for this innovative program. We understand that this year's contract is not a typical contract but serves as an experimental model that will be scrutinized by our community as part of the process of developing an expanded program to other neighborhoods throughout Syracuse. We do not take this lightly and see ourselves as partners in this community effort to better the Syracuse neighborhoods.
Landscapes ETC did not choose the specified route. The length of route was chosen, based on logistical limitations, as a starting point with the hope it will be supported and even expand based on consumer participation. We are happy to say that many residents who are not on the route really want to be included. This is a very good problem to have! Although we have committed to the proposed route as our primary service, we are not limited to serving those who are not on the route within the neighborhood! We are capable to increase manpower and or equipment to meet the demands of the neighborhood.
If we have enough interest in driveway and/or sidewalks contracts we can dedicate more men and equipment to the area.
For any property owner who wants driveway plowing done on or near the sidewalk route we can offer substantial discounts.
For a typical driveway, a seasonal contract of 26 plows = $200 plus tax ($7.70 a plow)
For parking areas 3-6 cars and driveways with difficult terrain, add $52 ($2.00 a plow)
For customers 65+ , an additional 10% off that price (limit 1 property for the 10% discount).
Add 75.00 ($2.70 per plow) for public easement sidewalks if not already on route.
For those of you on a corner lot where both streets are not included in the route add $25 to the sidewalk price to get the other half done
You must have public-easement sidewalks done to get the driveway price if you are on designated route.
It doesn't matter if you own one home or many homes, everyone benefits evenly who participates.
In addition, for those of you who have properties on streets adjacent to the route and want to participate in the sidewalk snow removal program, ask your neighbors on the street to participate and we can add your block to the route if at least 60% on that block participate.
We hope to expand other seasonal services to this area at discounted rates also including lawn care, clean ups, tree removal, brush removal, excavation, stonework, concrete sidewalk installation, pavers, patios, etc.
